Plot Twist

with Rik Brown

One Word. Several Stories. A Whole Lot of Chaos.

Learn the format behind the chaos.

In this workshop, you’ll learn how to create a collection of stories inspired by a single audience-suggested word, while staying ready for unexpected plot twists to turn everything upside down.

You’ll explore how to establish multiple stories, build compelling characters and relationships, follow the threads of a narrative, and adapt when a completely unexpected twist is thrown your way.

It’s a format that rewards strong storytelling, adaptability and a willingness to embrace the unexpected. Come learn how to keep the stories moving, the chaos flowing, and the audience guessing what happens next.

In this performance course, you’ll take part in five workshops and perform in two of the shows. For the third show, you’ll step into the role of observer, while still joining the group for notes and feedback after the performance.

It’s a great way to learn by doing, watching, and reflecting—giving you the chance to build your performance skills both on and off the stage.
