The Harold

with Brenna Dixon

The Harold is an improvised form developed by Del Close, where a single suggestion inspires an interwoven collage of connected scenes. First performed by iconic group The Committee, the structure was originally very loose, and over time has taken a variety of different forms. This course, taught by Brenna Dixon, explores one variety in depth.

The Harold helps develop skills in shaping a show, supporting an ensemble cast, following impulses, playing in naturalism and non-naturalism, and more!

This course consists of five workshops and three performances.
