Want to develop your eye as a director? Thinking of creating your own show and want to feel more confident giving feedback?
This two-part workshop is designed to help improvisers learn how to take and give constructive notes on improvised performances.
We begin with a one-hour session exploring best practices for observing and noting work. Then, as a group, you'll attend Impro Melbourne's performance of Smells Like a Song to put your new skills into practice.
The following day, we meet for a three-hour session to review and discuss the notes. Learning how to stay specific, and how to offer feedback that’s clear, kind, and useful
Then everyone gets the chance to rotate between performing short scenes and practicing giving notes in real time.
Ideal for aspiring directors, improvisers, or anyone wanting to deepen their understanding of how shows work — and how to help others grow.
