Have you ever walked down the hallway of an apartment block and wondered What is happening behind each door? Ever smell someone cooking and wonder what is the dish, hear music and wonder are they dancing? Hear laughter or raised voices and wonder why? If each person is a story, then an apartment block is a library of human stories and connections.
The Apartment Block is a new online specific format by Patti Stiles. Students will work on character creation and relationship-based stories, scene specifics such as starting, endings and transitions and explore and perform the format.
At the end of the term, there will be an online performance for an audience.
Prerequisites: Impro Melbourne’s completion of our core courses (Spontaneity, Narrative Technique, Character, Scenework ), or equivalent impro experience as determined by the Artistic Director.
