Scenes from Coffee Shops

with Tim Redmond
We can feel pressure to come up with the brilliant idea, make the genius offer, to be the one that makes the story happen right now.

It cripples our play.

But, what if we take that pressure off?

What if all we need is in the small details of each moment? What if the simple response to an obvious gesture is where story is born?

Welcome to Scenes from Coffee Shops, an intensive workshop focused on slowing down, taking the pressure off and discovering the potential meaning of each small moment.

Prerequisites: Impro Melbourne’s completion of our core courses (SpontaneityNarrative TechniqueCharacter Scene Work ), or equivalent impro experience as determined by the Artistic Director.

Questions? Contact our workshop co-ordinator Katherine.

Age requirement: 18 and over. Please see our Impro in Schools programs for anyone under 18.
