Giant, Messy Hearts

We're simple and we're complicated at the same time. 

This course explores the inner worlds of characters, their hopes, their flaws, and their hearts that spill out all over the place. 
Students will explore mantras, wants versus needs, subtext, and stage techniques to develop characters and scene work that feels more like a written play.
 
This course has a maximum of 12 participants 
4 x 3hr classes - 7 pm -10 pm Tue, 17 Oct,Tue, 24 Oct,Tue, 31 Oct,Tue, 7 Nov,
3 x Performances. 7pm - 9pm Sun, 12 Nov, Sun, 19 Nov Sun, 26 Nov 
Students will be cast in 2 of 3 performances. It is recommended you attend all as you also learn from watching and hearing the notes. There will be a jam before the show for all students to attend and the show 'Giant, messy hearts' will be in the second half of the night. 

Prerequisites: Completion of our core courses (SpontaneityNarrative TechniqueCharacter, Scene Work,) and Formats and Stylesor equivalent improvisation and acting experience as determined by the Artistic Director.
