Everyone can enjoy the laughter and play of improvisation! This class is a super simple introduction to some joyful exercises and games, which explore basic impro principles like:

  • Being present in the moment
  • Accepting ideas and saying 'yes'
  • Active listening
  • Supportive play
  • Quieting the internal critic

AND along the way you'll improve your skills in communication, mindfulness, adaptability, collaboration and idea generation!

Teacher

Katherine Weaver is an improvisor, actor, teacher and Artistic Director of Impro Melbourne. She has performed and directed for many seasons with Impro Melbourne in such shows as Theatresports™, Gorilla Theatre™ and Maestro™. Her love of performing is only matched by her love of teaching, which she has been honoured to do in Wurzburg Germany, Wellington New Zealand, Adelaide Australia and Canberra.
