"Songprov is my most favourite impro format in the whole wide world - singing or watching a show. Whether you've never sung outside of your head or are comfortable belting out of tune in public, this course is a MUST do. Tim's style is relaxed, encouraging and easy to follow. Before you know it, you'll be happily singing with others, making up lyrics and having a great time. You'll wonder why you didn't do this sooner." Wendy
So, you're in a scene....You're listening to your scene partner, checking in with stage-picture, advancing the narrative, honoring the genre, playing your character's internal wants and desires while watching for your partner's... and the musician starts playing. It sounds like a song intro...
... it is a song intro...
Songprov can give sweaty palms to even the most experienced improviser. What? I’ve got to make up a melody, do it in time to the muso, improvise lyrics, make them rhyme and find a point? PLUS listen to my partner and sound good with someone??
But it can be easy. If you keep it simple.
In this intensive we’ll explore just how simple and free Songprov can be. How with just a few simple tools, and a whole lot of trust, we can create elegant and emotional songs from nothing.
We'll learn to relish those moments the musician starts playing.
This class is great for beginners. No singing experience is necessary.
