COVID-19 update

by Katherine Weaver on 14 March, 2020 in Workshops

Dear Impro Melbourne Friends,

As the situation with the novel coronavirus (COVID-19) rapidly evolves, we want to assure you that Impro Melbourne is monitoring the situation carefully and we will continue to provide regular updates to our wonderful community.

We are committed to taking all necessary precautions and minimizing risks:

1. Audience members (and performers) are requested to stay at home if they are sick in any way (cough, fever, runny nose etc...) but will be offered a credit to a future show;

2. Show audiences will be limited to 35 people, with increased spaces between seating;

3. Hand sanitizer will be provided at all our shows and seats will be cleaned before and after all shows.

We have asked students and teachers not to come to workshops if they feel sick or have any symptoms, and have created a exchange policy for workshops in these circumstances. Students will be able to exchange their class for a future one if they feel sick or are quarantined for more two weeks or more. We will also be extending this to all our classes in the future and making it part of our policy.

We also ask all students, show participants and company to follow the health guidelines set by WHO: Wash your hands often and please stay home if you are experiencing symptoms of illness (fever, cough, runny nose etc…)

Thank you for your understanding in this difficult time. Please stay tuned to our socials for further updates.

Regards,

Katherine
