Kate Bayley

Rookie Company

Joined Impro Melbourne: 2017

Performance background:

Kate started learning to improvise with IM a few years back whilst studying Theatre & Drama. Now she is a Rookie, wow! She loves to perform even if it means dropping the script and riding the impro wave to wherever it takes her. Kate thinks that improvisation is the most frightening and pleasurable form of performance she has encountered. It challenges her to dive into the deep end and say ‘what the heck!’.

Favourite Impro Melbourne show or role: Play it Like a Playwright – one of Tim Redmond’s wonderful creations. If you get a chance to do this workshop, please do.

Comic inspirations: Catherine Tate. What a genius!

My little secret: I stay in the moment and smile at as many of my fellow performers as I can before jumping up to play.
