Metaphor in Improvised Singing

with Brenna Dixon

Turn your improvised songs into showstoppers!

You're comfortable improvising songs off the top of your head, now make them shine!

In this advanced workshop, you'll add character, emotion and heart to your songs and enthral your audience. By singing with metaphor and simile, we can not only express how our character feels, but sometimes even discover it along the way.

Taught by Brenna Dixon, this class brings together all the elements of the previous workshops and will have you singing your heart out in no time.

Prerequisites: Impro Melbourne's previous singing workshops, Improvised Music in Short formSpontaneity and Narrative, or similar training at the discretion of the Artistic Director or course instructor.

Questions? Contact our workshop co-ordinator Katherine.

Age requirement: 18 and over. Please see our Impro in Schools programs for anyone under 18.
