Make your own show!

with Jim Fishwick

In this dynamic and practical course, you’ll learn the ropes of inventing and refining improvised shows. How do you turn an idea into a fully realised and fleshed out production? What makes a format for-matter?

Each week, you’ll develop a completely new show, exploring a different idea. You’ll receive in-depth feedback on your work and process from Jim and the class, and come away with a portfolio of ideas to try out. You'll hear case studies from experienced improvisors around Australia and New Zealand about their approaches to creating shows.

This conservatory course is for improvisors looking to apply their performance skills to developing their own show ideas.

"Jim’s class not only taught me the theories of theatre production – turning ideas into performances, using your audience, stagecraft – but it gave me the tools to begin my own production, the courage to keep going, and the wisdom to change what needed changing. Thanks, Jim!" - Previous participant
