In this dynamic and practical course, you’ll learn the ropes of inventing and refining improvised shows. How do you turn an idea into a fully realised and fleshed out production? What makes a format for-matter?
Each week, you’ll be on your feet, developing a completely new show, exploring a different idea. You’ll collaborate with other students to prototype them quickly, and receive feedback. The showcase at the end of the course will be a smörgåsbord of our favourite works from the previous five weeks.
This conservatory course is for improvisors looking to apply their performance skills to developing their own show ideas.
Prerequisites: Impro Melbourne's Spontaneity, Narrative Technique, Character and Scene Work courses, or similar training at the discretion of the Artistic Director or course instructor.
Questions? Contact our workshop co-ordinator Katherine. Age requirement: 18 and over. Please see our Impro in Schools programs for anyone under 18.
