2008 Inter-school Theatresports™ Competitions

Aim:

to explain and build on the real skills behind performing a Theatresports™ show

Focus:

creative skills, team building opportunities, working with students from other schools and goal setting.

In answer to the demand for positive, productive, self esteem building activities, and based on the philosophy and process behind improvisation as developed by the creator of Theatresports™, Keith Johnstone, the inaugral 2008 Theatresports™ in Schools competition emphasises support, play and improvised scene work rather than competition and one-upmanship.
The program will include workshops and mix-and-match play between students from different schools.
