 Theatresports™ in Austalia first took off in 1985 at Belvoir Street Theatre in Sydney, followed very quickly by Melbourne. Belvoir Street had recently arisen from the ashes of the Nimrod Theatre. The theatre building was preserved by thousands of arts people coming together to take out ‘shares’.</summary>
